The Bentleigh Family & Child Care Co-Operative was established in 1979 to provide affordabe, quality childcare.
The centre offers a developmental environment that is safe and stimulating, so each child can achieve their full potential.
The centre caters for 34 children between 3 months and 5 years on a full or part-time basis.
The groups are small to help promote children’s self-esteem and to best cater for individual needs.
Experienced and professional childcare workers in an intimate, home-like environment provide care of the children.
Positive learning and teaching methods are used to encourage appropriate behaviour.
A full-time coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management of the centre.
What is a co-operative?
As a Co-operative, the centre is non-profit.
Parents play an active role in the overall management of the centre.
Involvement at committee level through to working bees and fundraisers ensures that the centre remains community-focused and non-profit.
